All-in protection is a feature that means a player is protected against disconnections when involved in a pot. This means that you’re hand isn’t folded when time has run out, the hand is instead regarded as being all-in. The other players continue the hand as normal and their bets create a side-pot that your hand isn’t involved in. Because of this you will sometimes win pots (because you stay in with a hand that you would have folded) and lose pots (because your bets or raises would have won the pot for you). All-in protection can easily be abused and if players systematically use that they should be reported to the site’s support.
